About The Position

This position is for an Infusion Therapy Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the Infusion Center. The role requires a multi-skilled individual who can work independently to provide quality healthcare to patients and collaborate with providers and other nursing staff. Candidates who are Certified Medical Assistants or are currently obtaining their Medical Assistant Certification are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Graduation within 12 months of hire from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
BLS required.
Excellent customer service skills

Nice To Haves

Prior medical reception and/or clinical experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and greeting patients.
Update and maintain patient files and medical records.
Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules.
Take vitals, explain treatment procedures, collect and prepare lab specimens.
Authorize prescription refills and manage prescriptions with pharmacies.
Sterilize medical equipment and maintain a clean working space.
