About The Position

Brightstar Care of Northern Michigan is seeking experienced RNs for their in-home business in Traverse City and surrounding areas. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule with no long shifts, focusing on one-to-one nursing care. The company provides home infusion therapy to patients from pediatric to geriatric. They are independently owned and operated, Joint Commission accredited, and serve the greater Northern Michigan area.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted Michigan RN license.
• Valid driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance.
• CPR certified.
• One-year recent RN experience within a hospital, facility, or clinic.
• Familiarity with Michigan nursing standards.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Proficiency in successful peripheral IV access, PICC/ Port management, and comprehensive assessment skills.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS preferred.
• Willingness to learn wound care, ostomy care, foot care, and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Provide home infusion therapy to individuals from pediatric to geriatric.
• Perform successful peripheral IV access.
• Manage PICC/Port.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments.
• Provide wound care, ostomy care, and foot care.
• Manage medications.
• Work independently in the field.
• Complete EMR documentation.
• Drive in all weather conditions up to a 60-mile radius.
