About The Position

Brightstar Care is seeking experienced RNs for their in-home business serving Traverse City and the surrounding areas. This role focuses on home infusion therapy for patients from pediatric to geriatric. The company is independently owned and operated, Joint Commission accredited, and services the greater Northern Michigan area.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted Michigan RN license.
• Valid driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance.
• CPR certified.
• One-year recent RN experience within a hospital, facility, or clinic.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS preferred.
• Familiarity with Michigan nursing standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficiency in successful peripheral IV access.
• Proficiency in PICC/ Port management.
• Excellent comprehensive assessment skills.
• Willingness to provide wound care, ostomy care, foot care, and medication management (training available).
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Familiarity with EMR documentation.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions up to a 60-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Provide successful peripheral IV access.
• Manage PICC/Port.
• Perform comprehensive assessments.
• Provide wound care, ostomy care, and foot care.
• Manage medications.
• Work independently in the field.
• Complete EMR documentation.
• Drive in all weather conditions within a 60-mile radius.
