About The Position

Soleo Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our specialty infusion pharmacy in Tempe, AZ. This is a non-IV compounding role where the pharmacy technician provides clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist, and in compliance with state board of pharmacy's sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work 100 percent in office
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year on the job work experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Arizona in good standing
  • Must be PTCB/NHA nationally certified
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP State of Arizona in good standing and requires PTCB/NHA Certification
  • Minimum experience working as a technician in the hospital setting.
  • Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent sterile compounding technique
  • Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • preferred experience working in hospital/Specialty Infusion Pharmacy setting
  • Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
  • Helpful programs to know: CPR+, AlayaCare, Insight, NetSuite, VPL, and Paylocity

Responsibilities

  • Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards. This is a non-IV compounding role
  • Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
  • Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
  • Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
  • Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company’s pharmacy software system, as allowed by BOP regulations.
  • Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
  • Participates in company’s quality assurance and performance improvement program.
  • Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and completes Soleo’s annual re-credentialing process.
  • Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
  • Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo’s formulary management program.
  • Obtains additional state technical licensure/registration as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch.
