About The Position

Amerita, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a specialty infusion company focused on providing complex pharmaceutical products and clinical services to patients outside of the hospital. The Infusion Coordinator, in conjunction with the Nurse Practitioner, is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of AIC nursing visits, tracking nurse-administered infusions and authorizations, timely clearance of new referrals, and purchasing, procurement, and management of AIC supplies and drugs in the warehouse. This is a hybrid remote/in-person role, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree or some college preferred
  • Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and tracks regularly scheduled nursing visits.
  • Collaborates with Nurse Practitioner and Pharmacy staff to schedule visits and orders.
  • Takes MosAIC infusion Therapy referrals from referral sources.
  • Ensures that all intake forms are complete and accurate.
  • Obtains authorizations and re-authorizations as required by payers.
  • Communicates with Nurse Practitioner and Pharmacy regarding the status of referrals.
  • Notifies patients/families regarding coverage and payment responsibilities.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
  • Stocks and stores warehouse equipment and supplies.
  • Reports stock levels to supervisor.
