Mueller, the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an immediate opening in our Distribution Sales Channel for a Territory Manager in the Company’s North Carolina territory. In association with a long-tenured employee’s upcoming retirement from this territory, the state of North Carolina is being split into separate “Eastern” and “Western” territories to allow more support and sales growth. If there is a delay in filling one of these openings, the first person hired will temporarily support the entire state of North Carolina, but upon the hire of a second Territory Manager, the initial Territory Manager hired will then only support either the “Eastern” or “Western” North Carolina territory, as applicable, in which they reside. This specific job posting is to show preference for the “Western” Carolina territory, which includes Charlotte, Hickory, Asheville, Winston Salem, and other cities. Candidates open to either North Carolina territory and willing to live within either territory can apply under both the “Eastern” and “Western” job postings. This exempt-level sales position has direct territory sales responsibility in the assigned territory. Primary sales are directed toward established distributors within the territory. Working under the direction of the Infrastructure Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Manager is provided the opportunity to learn or expand upon their knowledge of the water distribution industry and sales knowledge/strategies, all while earning a competitive base salary plus commissions!
