About The Position

We are seeking a Systems Administrator with strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to growing within a collaborative team environment. In this role, you will install, configure, and administer Windows and Linux server operating systems. You will also engineer and support an expanding systems environment that includes Active Directory/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, VMware, and Exchange. Additional responsibilities include planning and implementing future upgrades for Windows and Linux systems, as well as supporting a range of infrastructure applications.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows server environments with Active Directory/Entra ID.
  • 3+ years of experience managing VMware environments, SAN, and backup technologies.
  • 2+ years of enterprise Linux experience.
  • Practical experience with TCP/IP and LAN/WAN routing and switching.
  • PowerShell scripting knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and a willingness to support a variety of projects.
  • High level of initiative and dedication
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED

Responsibilities

  • Engineer and maintain Windows operating systems along with the services that support a Microsoft centric network (DNS, DHCP, GPO, PKI, IIS, AD, etc.)
  • Support and maintain a VMware computing environment.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of storage technologies.
  • Understand the concepts of mail delivery and maintaining an Exchange server environment.
  • Contribute knowledge and expertise to the Linux administration team.
  • Apply knowledge of Microsoft/AWS cloud services, web security, secure file transfer, application whitelisting, and email filtering technologies.
  • Run system audit reports to support regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across all support tiers.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support.
  • Scale infrastructure to support increased capacity and usage.
  • Work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to optimize performance.
