About The Position

Peraton is seeking an Infrastructure System Administrator - Tier 3 (Citrix / VDI / NetScaler) to work in Stuttgart, Germany. This role involves Level 3 (L3) Support, Engineering, and Operations with a core focus on Enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), and Citrix ADC/NetScaler architecture. The position requires managing high-availability CVAD environments, configuring and troubleshooting Citrix ADC/NetScaler appliances, managing endpoints with Dell Wyse software, building and updating Golden Images, and serving as the final escalation point for L2/L3 incidents. Additionally, the role involves executing platform upgrades, security patching, firmware updates, and automating tasks through PowerShell scripting. The technical stack includes Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Studio, Director, StoreFront, Citrix ADC/NetScaler, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, FSLogix, and hypervisor knowledge (VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V).

Requirements

HS diploma and 6 years of dedicated IT infrastructure experience.
At least 3–5 years specializing in Citrix VDI and NetScaler administration.
Strong working knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
Must possess and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance, depending on the network's classification.
U.S. Citizenship: Required for all positions requiring a security clearance.
Candidates must meet Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II requirements at a minimum.
Baseline Certification: Common certifications include CompTIA Security+ CE or (ISC)² SSCP.
Computing Environment (CE) Certification: Proof of proficiency in the specific technology, such as Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) or a relevant Microsoft Windows Server certification.
TESA approval required.

Nice To Haves

Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V / CCP-AppDelivery) or equivalent enterprise experience preferred.
Hypervisor knowledge (VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V).
Automation via PowerShell.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability CVAD environments, Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups, and StoreFront.
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Citrix ADC/NetScaler appliances, gateway settings, load balancing, and secure remote access authentication.
Endpoint management using Dell Wyse software.
Build, update, and troubleshoot Golden Images/Master Images via MCS (Machine Creation Services) or PVS (Provisioning Services).
Manage user profiles using FSLogix.
Serve as the final escalation point for L2/L3 incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and resolve deep connectivity, latency, or VDA registration issues.
Execute platform upgrades, security patching, and firmware updates across Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, and NetScalers.
Write and maintain PowerShell scripts for task automation.
Author standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks.
