About The Position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Missile Defense Agency’s Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) Mission Engineering Team at Schriever Space Force Base (SFB) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This 100% on-site position is primarily responsible for supporting the MDIOC Chief Engineer for the maintenance and implementation of the MDIOC Technical Baseline as well as for development and integration of new capabilities into the building. Candidate must be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, can accomplish high-level tasks independently, and works well with other team members and customers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 3+ years of experience
3+ years of experience systems engineering (MDA preferred) and technical support to program management
Ability to depict technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, and implementations in written and graphical form
Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Active SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain one is required for this position.
U.S. Citizenship is also required for this position.

Proven experience in asset identification and management, including physical inventories and lifecycle analyses.
Experience performing obsolescence assessments and developing modernization strategies for aging infrastructure in a Government, defense, or high-tempo operational environment.
Experience preparing technical reports, tracking dashboards, and briefings for leadership or Government customers.
Experience coordinating across multiple organizations and balancing competing operational priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to climb a ladder, work beneath elevated floor areas, and lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Conduct criticality assessments to prioritize maintenance and security based on mission impact.
Perform lifecycle and obsolescence analyses to identify risks in aging infrastructure.
Apply engineering principles to investigate issues, conduct site surveys, and support design reviews.
Provide technical support to Facility Systems Engineers and leadership to sustain high-value systems.
Analyze data to optimize resource allocation, system reliability, and overall resilience.
Maintain and update MDIOC Systems Engineering processes and documentation.
Support Verification & Validation (V&V) activities (drafting test plans, executing procedures, collecting data, and reporting findings).
Maintain engineering tracking tools, dashboards, and distribute weekly activity reports.
Participate in stakeholder interviews to gather future infrastructure requirements.
Coordinate seamlessly across senior engineers, Project Management, O&M Contractors, and mission partners.
