TX Govt Infrastructure PM
About The Position
One Project Manager is being solicited by TDI to perform work on infrastructure remediation, development, security, and legacy modernization projects. Emphasis of work performed shall be working as a project manager, collaborating with a technical team, business product owners, and other project team members to elicit requirements and user stories. The worker shall be responsible for the coordination, planning, completion, and evaluation of projects, and related resources. Workers should coordinate work teams and follow standard project management practices, such as the PMI or DIR framework. The worker should have strong knowledge of project management theories and practices applicable to projects of moderate scope; (Scrum/Agile/Waterfall). The contract staff shall work on an agile scrum team, participating in regular meetings, work sessions, and interactions with the business owners and coordinating project activities with vendors and other contractors. They should be self-starter with experience working in a virtual collaborative setting. The worker should have experience in identifying potential project risks and difficulties and designs strategies to mitigate or avoid them. The worker should possess strong written and oral presentation skills, with abilities to help with present work done on an application. Contract staff will also be responsible for writing technical and user documentation. All project work will include workflows, business processes, compiling and distributing project information, and status reports.
Requirements

- Working as a project manager on small to medium projects, gather requirements, identify project risks and keep the project documentation updated
- Eliciting and documenting requirements from end users and working on project documentations
- compiling and distributing project information, status reports, tracking project resources and project budget expenditures
- handle multiple initiatives, projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining a consistent standard of quality
- Testing applications to ensure user requirements are met
- interpreting and communicating effectively on complex management concepts, both verbally and in writing
- coordinating project activities with other state agencies, governmental jurisdictions, or private sector partners and contractors
- providing excellent and courteous customer service both internally and externally.
