About The Position

ARTC is seeking an Infrastructure Maintainer based in Kensington, Victoria, to carry out physical maintenance of its rail track. The role includes preventative and reactive maintenance, minor construction for planned capital upgrades, general labouring, track maintenance, safety protection work, and visual inspections. The maintainer may also operate heavy machinery, weld, and perform other maintenance tasks in line with ARTC standards. The position is part of ARTC’s Operations team, which helps maintain safe and reliable train movements across the national rail network. Applicants must complete pre-employment criminal history, reference, and medical checks, including drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

Rail industry experience, specifically in track maintenance.
Current Rail Industry Competencies.
Construction industry induction (white card).
Current driver’s licence and proficiency in driving a manual car.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Successful completion of pre-employment criminal history, reference, and medical checks, including drug and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

Relevant machinery and plant operation tickets.
Welding experience in a rail or heavy industry environment.
