Infrastructure Location Technician
About The Position
InfoWest is seeking skilled internet installation technicians to join our growing team. As an Internet Location Technician you will be responsible for locating and marking InfoWest utilities and fiber lines to avoid being hit during construction. Use of multiple software programs will be integrated into everyday use as well as fiber mapping systems. Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Using tools and working in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical information to customers.
- Must pass a background check, drug test, and maintain a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of networking and mapping systems a plus.
Responsibilities
- Locate & mark fiber optic lines.
- Update mapping software.
- Use of locators, toners, and software applications on a daily basis.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service while addressing any questions or concerns.
- Strictly follow OSHA and company safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
