Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Five (5) or more years of enterprise systems administration experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
  • Experience supporting large, geographically distributed environments.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, virtualization, backup and recovery, identity management, cybersecurity, and compliance best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting retail or multi-site operations.
  • Experience with enterprise networking, storage, endpoint management, monitoring platforms, and security technologies.
  • Experience supporting disaster recovery, business continuity, audit, and compliance programs.
  • Experience managing technology vendors and service providers.
  • Industry certifications related to infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity, or IT service management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Systems Administration and Desktop Operations teams.
  • Establish team priorities, service standards, operational procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Manage staffing, performance evaluations, professional development, and succession planning activities.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for infrastructure incidents, outages, and complex technical issues.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with IT leadership to align infrastructure operations with business objectives and technology strategy.
  • Manage enterprise server, cloud, virtualization, storage, backup, identity, endpoint management, monitoring, and security platforms.
  • Ensure infrastructure availability, performance, scalability, resiliency, and security.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, procedures, documentation, and operational controls.
  • Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, lifecycle management, capacity planning, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening efforts.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, cybersecurity, audit, and compliance programs.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and implement proactive measures to improve service reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the infrastructure team complies with and follows change management processes and procedures.
  • Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and operational transition.
  • Coordinate technology initiatives with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service delivery, contract performance, and issue resolution.
  • Support acquisitions, new site deployments, infrastructure integrations, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions that align with business needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to IT staff and business users.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance activities, emergency support, and on-call rotations as required.
  • Perform occasional weekend or holiday work to support business operations.
  • Travel up to 10% in support of infrastructure projects, site deployments, and operational initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
