About The Position

People Inc. is looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Intern to partner with the application development development teams responsible for the publishing and shared services framework that powers the websites for one of the largest and fastest-growing online publishers. The ideal candidate has sound knowledge on how to orchestrate Infrastructure deployments in at least one of the cloud vendors AWS/GCP. T You’ll participate in and help fine tune a delivery focused development culture that champions collaboration, innovative thinking, and technical excellence, while maintaining a foundation of work/life balance. This position requires a highly competent, self-directed individual who can help shape processes and define standards. We are looking for someone with experience in navigating a variety of technical environments. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently on their own as well as contribute to group projects and complete tasks on schedule in a fast paced, upbeat environment. Potential candidates should have extensive experience testing functionality, compatibility, integration of web applications. Hands-on Object Oriented Programming knowledge preferably in Core Java(8+) or Javascript or Python. Strong knowledge on Kubernetes or AWS ECS orchestrations.. Strong knowledge on modern AFT Testing tools like Selenium Web Driver/Cypress/Playwright. Good understanding of Containerization technologies like Docker. Hands-on Jenkins Pipeline scripting and knowledge on ELK stack. Understanding of Terraform and HELM. You understand the importance of not only testing but also reporting, especially in the context of CI/CD tooling. You have experience with source code systems like Bitbucket or equivalent. Experience with version control tools such as Git. Experience with Build tools such as Maven or Gradle. Good Problem Solving skills. Attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Project experience in developing/scripting in Java,Python or Javascript.
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX commands and debugging skills across remote execution.
  • Ability to debug failures in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management, release management and database manipulation like git, bitbucket, Jenkins etc.
  • Good knowledge on modern cloud-based development practices in AWS/GCP and container native technologies like docker.
  • Highly proficient in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver and manage deadlines in an agile development environment.
  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
