About The Position

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for efficiently deploying new hardware and upgrading existing systems. This role involves providing consistent support for existing hardware systems within the data center, proactively responding to support queries, managing incidents in the ticketing system, and documenting resolutions. The engineer will also execute change requests within pre-defined timelines, oversee equipment logistics (shipping and receiving), and assist in managing hardware inventory. Participation in meetings related to both internal and customer-centric environments is expected, along with regularly updating support procedures and process documentation. This role acts as a partner for IT with the user community, applying the most effective use of IT technology to direct business thinking and identifying IT solutions to support business strategies across all functions. Collaboration with key functional peers to identify IT needs, gather requirements, and assist in estimating project costs and schedules is also a key aspect of the position. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with deploying and managing servers and hardware is a must.
  • Must be able to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable of managing Azure Servers and Physical Servers.
  • Knowledgeable of virtualization platforms (i.e. VMware).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • A combination of the listed skills and knowledge is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience in network and server administration, hardware, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Proven experience in hardware administration and resolution of related issues.
