About The Position

JPMorgan Chase is seeking Infrastructure Engineers to provide front-line product support, proactive monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, security, maintenance, and incident management for storage environments. This role involves close collaboration with clients, vendors, other incident management teams, and technical staff to install world-class storage hardware. The engineer will maintain transaction stability and troubleshoot issues across storage, servers, load balancers, applications, networks, and databases in all environments. Responsibilities include debugging production issues by analyzing logs, collecting metrics, and leveraging application monitoring tools to create solutions for sustained resiliency. The role also requires partnering with customers to understand new projects and cross-pipeline requirements, and serving as a liaison with internal monitoring teams to ensure appropriate alerting is in place.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or in a related field of study
  • 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Storage Engineer, Systems Engineer, or in a related occupation.
  • Using Block Storage Solutions including, EMC PowerFlex, VMAX, PowerMax, VNX, Netapp SolidFire, HP-3PAR, ECS, Storage fabrics, Brocade and Cisco SAN switches
  • Working with Cloud Block Storage such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google GCP
  • Utilizing Storage protocols such as iSCSI, FC or NVME/TCP
  • Block and Object Storage implementation and best practices
  • Performing root cause analysis of Production incidents and recommend tactical and strategic solutions to SRE teams
  • Working with the software development lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery
  • Using cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages
  • Working with Agile methodologies and lean philosophies

  • Debug issues in the production environment through analyzing logs, collection metrics, and leveraging app-monitoring tools, and create solutions for sustained resiliency.
  • Partner with customers to understand new projects, cross-pipeline requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal monitoring teams to make sure appropriate alerting is in place.
