About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. The engineer will be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Responsibilities also include identifying and troubleshooting application code-related issues, taking an active role in code reviews to ensure solutions align with pre-defined architectural specifications, and assisting with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. The position requires participation in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Collaboration with all of JPMC's lines of business and functions is essential to deliver software solutions. The role includes developing, designing, and building core data backend systems and machine learning platforms to make a significant technology and business impact. Cross-functional work as part of the platform team, designing/creating/deploying APIs, managing databases, and supporting production operations is also a key aspect. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.
