We are seeking a self-driven Platform Engineer II to maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure while supporting environments built to meet government certification requirements. You will own small-to-medium infrastructure projects, collaborate across engineering teams, and use infrastructure as code and automation to support reliable, secure deployments.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience supporting production cloud infrastructure or CI/CD systems.
  • Hands-on AWS experience and familiarity with Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Experience with Terraform, Helm, GitOps, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Python or Bash.
  • Familiarity with IAM, secrets management, databases, and monitoring tools.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance or favorable Public Trust determination.
  • Must pass a federal background investigation and meet applicable residency or onsite requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work in United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Azure, Google Cloud, Golang, and Argo CD experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and Argo CD.
  • Operate AWS EKS, including autoscaling, resource management, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage IAM, cross-account access, and secrets using Vault and AWS Secrets Manager.
  • Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Python, and Bash.
  • Build production-ready containers and support CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve system health through Grafana, CloudWatch, Kibana, dashboards, and alerts.
  • Support application teams, participate in code reviews, and join the on-call rotation.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate infrastructure work while validating security and accuracy.
