JOB SUMMARY Director will create and implement global FM mission, vision and strategy, initiatives and oversight. Director of FM will ensure, through the development and implementation of regional FM leadership/execution and relationships with plant facilities management, the following strategic oversight….. · Compliance (regulations, standards, codes, insurance, etc.) · Risk management (surfacing and mitigating risk proactively) · Building safety and employee safety · Technical leadership; tracking, investigating and, if proven value-add, adopting new building technologies · Brand protection (Jabil and our Customers) related to building maintenance, safety and control · Consistency to Jabil core values · Positive impact to business (financial return, increased value-add, operational performance) · Facilities cost; building efficiencies; energy, maintenance etc. Director will provide technical and strategic leadership for global FM management system that delivers strong cost effective performance in facilities management. Director will be responsible to ensure the right balance between standards, risk, industry challenges and value-add to business model. Director will ensure focus on global energy management strategy and security oversight for improvements.

Requirements

  • Extremely adept in technical aspects of FM (construction, real estate, insurance, operational cost, etc.)
  • Experience in crafting communications aimed at influencing individuals throughout all levels of a global company (C-Suite through individual contributors)
  • Experience dealing with complex and sensitive issues related to FM
  • Emotional, political and business acumen
  • Proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries
  • High level of appreciation for and ability to conceptualize FM culture
  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
  • Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview and staff FM experts
  • Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on a regular, ongoing basis.
  • Ensure effective performance measurement techniques to assess direct report performance
  • Identify and develop succession plan
  • Coach and mentor staff to deliver on time excellence to every internal and external customer
  • Ensure regular and effective communication with direct staff
  • Responsible for creating executive briefs, summaries and rapid responses to risk when requested on the performance of FM programs and initiatives and when trouble arises related to FM
  • Establish internal communications for FM strategy
  • Create and implement global FM programs, policies and procedures
  • Represent FM strategy with other senior leadership functions to drive integration and accountability as critical component of business success
  • Establish structured energy management strategy
  • Measure and report FM initiatives and activities
  • Identify and mitigate internal risk, anticipate new risks
  • Establish technical leadership, adopting the standards and technologies for improved efficiencies
  • Global oversight of site security, focused on reducing theft without compromising treatment of workers
  • Know FM cost drivers and drive initiatives and programs to engage sites and control, reduce
  • Prepare timely forecasts for projects and discretionary expenses (travel, tools, subscriptions, etc)
  • Operate across organizational boundaries driving the company’s FM policy, strategy and goal implementation with limited direct authority over business leaders who must be influenced
  • Work with Sr. Director to communicate, influence and build consensus among other senior leadership across the company to advance FM policies and programs
  • Regularly update Sr. Director on advancement of FM goals
  • Build trusting internal relationships as a central point of contact and expert in FM decision-making regarding issues affecting company
  • Build effective network to understand common FM challenges across our industry, enable proactive positioning and strategy development to changes in codes, technologies, regulations, etc.
  • Ensure most relevant and updated standards are adopted and deployed, properly assessing impact and garnering support for strategy and/or solution
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
