About The Position

The Infrastructure Architect is a Sr level technical resource on the IT Operations Team supporting on premise and cloud-based infrastructure ecosystems. The Infrastructure Architect will advise technical teams on designing infrastructure environments, emerging technologies and current industry and company standards. The Infrastructure Architect will lead and coordinate complex technical activities with cross functional groups ensuring that systems are built and managed to the defined standards. Architects will have a key role in selection of technology and the 2-3 year roadmap vision of infrastructure for Verra Mobility.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands on technical experience supporting, implementing and building enterprise infrastructure environments
  • 8+ years of hands on technical experience in a hyper focused technology space, Virtualization, Storage Systems, Cloud Technologies, Network WAN/LAN Technologies, Firewall Administration, etc
  • 8+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience at tier 3 or 4, last line of support.
  • 5+ years of experience operating large scale datacenters with more than 1500 devices across datacenters
  • 5+ years of experience managing relationships, personalities and expectations within business units, stakeholders, vendors and internal IT resources.
  • A proven track record of taking complex technical requirements and developing them into a technical designs that can be implemented within the confines of the business request.
  • A practical technologist that balances security, IT Operations and business needs when developing strategies to support large scale enterprise initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accreted University with an emphasis in Information Technology, IT Security, or Business Administration
  • Advanced Certifications such as Azure, AWS, Vmware Datacenter Virtualization, Security or Cloud Management, Cisco CCNP, CCIE, Juniper, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, Dell EMC Storage
  • PMP or SCRUM Master Certifications

  • A technical leader that can coach, support and assist technical resources in high pressure, high stress situations.
  • A technical resource that is able to bring cross functional teams together to solve complex business problems with technology solutions.
  • A subject matter expert able to design, implement, operate and sunset infrastructure systems and platforms.
