About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Infotainment & Telematics ECU Test Engineer to join our Automotive Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electronics bench testing, ECU validation, and troubleshooting of Infotainment and Telematics systems. The role involves executing functional testing, validating ECU features, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality automotive electronic systems.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in electronics bench testing / ECU testing
  • Good understanding of Infotainment and Telematics systems
  • Knowledge of automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
  • Experience using test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Basic knowledge of ECU flashing / diagnostics tools
  • Basic knowledge of electronics principles.
  • Basic knowledge of Ohm's Law, voltage, current, resistance, and circuit analysis.
  • Ability to identify and understand basic electronic components including: Resistors, Capacitors, Inductors, Diodes, Transistors, Integrated Circuits (ICs)
  • Experience with HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing or test benches

  • Exposure to Infotainment UI/UX testing, audio/video validation, connectivity features

Responsibilities

  • Perform bench-level testing and validation of Infotainment and Telematics ECUs.
  • Set up and maintain test benches, validation environments, and laboratory equipment.
  • Develop, execute, and document functional test cases based on system requirements.
  • Validate Infotainment features such as audio, multimedia, connectivity, navigation, and user interfaces.
  • Perform Telematics testing including network connectivity, communication modules, and vehicle communication systems.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through closure.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using diagnostic and measurement tools.
  • Perform electrical measurements, signal analysis, and fault isolation activities.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit documentation.
  • Support ECU flashing, software updates, configuration, and integration activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with development teams to drive issue resolution.
  • Support regression testing for software releases and feature enhancements.
  • Prepare test reports, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Hardware, Software, System Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to resolve technical issues.
