Requirements

  • Candidates for this position must be Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certified as a Chapter 74 Instructor or certifiable and must be familiar with the newly adopted DESE CVTE related curriculum frameworks.
  • Five years of recent (within the last seven years), full-time employment experience directly related to the construction craft laborer occupation
  • An understanding of the concepts of institutional and structural racism, and bias, and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities

  • Additional content area licensure is encouraged

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will work with school administration to develop and implement a Chapter 74 Construction Craft Laborers program
  • Candidate will collaborate with representatives from the construction community to develop curriculum to advance student learning
  • After program is developed, teacher will be responsible to instruct students in grades 9- 12 in a construction craft laborers program
