About The Position

A critical part of the IDN mission, this position uses their problem-solving skills to resolve issues dealing with technology and is the core group for troubleshooting technology issues preventing donation. Works with the Information Technology team to manage the support desk, resolving problems, documenting solutions, and providing user training when necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 months of experience in computer/information technology support.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in networking and PC operating systems required.
  • Willing to work a rotating 24/7/365 on call schedule
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable through IDN’s insurance.
  • Make timely and appropriate decisions.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Maintaining confidentiality.
  • Must have a high level of customer service and ability to communicate to a diverse audience.
  • Requires travel between office locations and the ability to work evenings or weekends.
  • Lift equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Possible mental and visual fatigue associated with detailed work.
  • Express ideas verbally and convey detailed or important spoken information.
  • Receive detailed information through oral and auditory communication.
  • Maintain a current valid driver’s license and be insurable through IDN’s insurance.
  • Must receive required vaccines based on outlined schedules to protect our employees, healthcare personnel, donors, recipients, and families we may come into contact. (e.g., Influenza obtained annually by December 1st.)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Office 365 administration preferred.
  • Experience with remote support preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support.
  • Purchase, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and other devices.
  • Manage software installations, updates, and licenses.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, knowledge base articles, and support desk resolutions.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and IT practices through written documentation, in-person presentations, or other methods.
  • Manage on-prem and cloud-based systems such as Active Directory, Windows Server, Office 365, Phone systems, and others.
  • Oversee IT projects.
  • Dedicate time to personal development projects that contribute to professional growth and improve IT services.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and stay updated with the latest IT practices and technologies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
