Sonoma County Library is seeking a skilled and service-oriented Information Technology Specialist / Network Administrator to support the technology infrastructure that enables exceptional library services for staff and the community. The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT professional with expertise in network administration, security, systems support, and troubleshooting, along with a strong commitment to customer service, problem-solving, and delivering reliable technology solutions that meet the needs of Sonoma County Library staff and the communities we serve. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager, this position serves as a technical specialist responsible for the design, administration, security, and ongoing support of the library’s technology infrastructure. This position provides excellent customer service while overseeing network systems, servers, and related hardware and software. The Information Technology Specialist / Network Administrator plans, designs, tests, installs, troubleshoots, and maintains complex computer networks and systems; supports technology projects and upgrades; and evaluates and recommends improvements. The position plays a key role in ensuring dependable technology services for library operations, staff productivity, and public access to information.
