Carley Corporation is seeking an IT Management Specialist to support the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) in Port Hueneme, CA. This contract-contingent role requires daily onsite support, the ability to obtain and maintain required security credentials, including a Common Access Card (CAC), up to 10% travel, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on limited occasions. The position involves analyzing and defining data requirements, system specifications, and information management needs to support CSFE training modernization and efforts related to Curriculum and Training Requirements Library (CTC/RRL). The role also includes supporting database maintenance and development, designing, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databases or data tracking tools, and maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving data systems, workflow tools, and reporting mechanisms. Additionally, the IT Management Specialist will install, configure, maintain, and support approved database management systems, learning support systems, SharePoint sites, workflow tools, and related business applications. The position requires analyzing and planning for anticipated changes in data capacity, system usage, workflow requirements, and reporting needs, as well as developing and administering data standards, naming conventions, policies, procedures, trackers, and documentation. The specialist will also develop and support data mining, data warehousing, reporting, dashboarding, or workflow automation processes, and evaluate and recommend new or improved database technologies, system workflows, architectures, and reporting approaches. Analyzing systems requirements in response to business requirements, risks, costs, and mission needs, and evaluating, selecting, verifying, validating, and integrating system software, hardware, and application components are also key responsibilities. The role involves monitoring and fine-tuning system and workflow performance, supporting users in Navy training environments using tools such as Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, LMS/LCMS/LAS/CDS tools, AIM CPM/LO Module, and other approved browser-based instructional or business applications, and ensuring rigorous application of information security, information assurance, access control, and Navy/DoD data handling policies. Preparing system documentation, status reports, data summaries, and technical information for leadership, project teams, and Government stakeholders, and performing other duties and supporting projects as assigned and needed are also part of the role.
