About The Position

As an Information Technology Intern at United Launch Alliance, you'll gain hands-on experience and will have the opportunity to develop your skills as developers, designers, or information technology specialists. You will deploy technology solutions that solve problems for businesses and organizations. You will utilize your technical and analytical skills, demonstrate effective communication techniques and project development knowledge to perform activities throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This includes requirements analysis & definition, application design and development, system test planning and execution, deployment planning, and documentation. You will support one or more experienced business professionals in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects. You will also experience the day-to-day workings of the business side of the aerospace industry. Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!

Requirements

At minimum completed Freshman year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.
High School/GED
Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding.
Must have a valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.
At minimum, actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university.
Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027.
Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations: Denver, CO
Must be a U.S. Person as defined in ITAR 22 CFR 120.62 (e.g., U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or protected individual).

Nice To Haves

Preferred degree focus for this internship is in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information or Computer Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or relevant field of study.
Interest in learning AI Assisted coding, infrastructure build, and data analytics.
Interest in learning ERP System (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance) - SAP
Interest in learning Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
Interest in learning Product Life Cycle Management (Siemens Team Center)
Interest in learning System Administration (Unix/Windows), Dev Ops, Automation, Cloud Administration including scripting
Interest in learning Enterprise Security and user access management
Interest in learning Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
Interest in learning Database Administration, Backup, and recovery
Interest in learning Routing, Firewalls, Switching, and Networking

Responsibilities
