About The Position

AutoZone's Top 100 Internship Program is designed to provide students with challenging, real-world experience in a corporate retail environment. The program offers a 9-week paid, full-time summer internship from June 7 to August 6, 2027, providing meaningful, hands-on work experience, cross-functional job shadowing opportunities, dedicated one-on-one mentorship, and professional and personal development workshops, as well as networking and community service events. The Information Technology Intern will work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, assisting with executing assigned projects. This role focuses on exciting technology initiatives in software development and systems engineering, contributing to system enhancements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable technology solutions that power AutoZone's operations. Interns will collaborate in teams, manage their own sprints, and work closely with AutoZoner support teams, gaining hands-on experience and achieving tangible results by the end of the internship.

Requirements

Applicants must be rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university during the Summer 2027 internship program (June 7 - August 6, 2027).
Students who graduate before June 7, 2027, are not eligible.
Must be able to reside in the Memphis area for the duration of the internship.
Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management of Information Systems (MIS).
Educated in technical languages like Python, JavaScript, Java and C++.
Experience in using SCM tools like Gitlab, GetHub and Jira.
