About The Position

Sandy Mac Evolution LLC is seeking an experienced Information Technology / Information Assurance (IT/IA) Specialist II to support Department of Defense Special Access Programs (SAPs) at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The selected candidate will provide advanced cybersecurity, systems administration, network administration, and information assurance support for classified environments supporting Air Force and DoD mission requirements. This position requires a highly skilled IT professional capable of maintaining secure information systems, supporting authorization and accreditation activities, implementing cybersecurity controls, and ensuring compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements across multiple classified networks.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience supporting information technology, information assurance, cybersecurity, system administration, or network administration functions.
  • Prior experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, Information Assurance Specialist, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAPs).
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server administration and enterprise Microsoft environments.
  • Experience managing enterprise networks, security devices, and system infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and secure system administration practices.
  • Ability to work independently in a highly classified and mission-critical environment.
  • Must obtain and maintain a certification meeting DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level II requirements (or approved equivalent) within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned information systems.
  • Administer and maintain Windows-based servers, workstations, firewalls, network appliances, and security monitoring systems.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system and network anomalies to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Prepare systems for operational testing and mission use.
  • Review, prepare, update, and maintain Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation and authorization packages.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity reviews and provide technical input for authorization package Bodies of Evidence.
  • Conduct cybersecurity self-inspections and ensure compliance with applicable security policies and procedures.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, implement corrective actions, and track remediation efforts.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with DoD cybersecurity and information assurance requirements.
  • Perform Video Teleconferencing (VTC) administration, scheduling, and configuration support.
  • Provide support for external information systems and client devices.
  • Manage user accounts across multiple security domains and authorization boundaries.
  • Perform Help Desk support and technical troubleshooting for end users.
  • Configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain hardware, software, servers, and network appliances.
  • Support Government-issued laptop deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with media control, accountability, and inventory management.
  • Perform COMSEC account and equipment management activities.
  • Maintain system documentation, security records, and configuration management documentation.
