About The Position
The Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1 with the Network, Unified Telecommunications, and Security Operations Division plays a key part in improving statewide monitoring systems. This role supports important technology that helps agencies respond quickly to issues across complex environments. Within this role, you will be guiding a team that strengthens automation, observability, and system reliability. Requirements
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2; (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services
- Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field
- One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Be able to perform essential job functions
- Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements

Responsibilities
- Maintain deep proficiency in monitoring tools and processes including IBM AIOps and IBM Instana
- Transform manual processes into scalable automated workflows using intelligent automation capabilities
- Enhance change management, incident reporting, and problem resolution through advanced monitoring features
- Prepare and implement solutions for applications and systems including configuration and optimization activities
- Lead staff by assigning work, coaching employees, and reviewing performance
- Maintain monitoring integrity for applications and infrastructure while supporting agencies across the Commonwealth
