About The Position

This job description reflects potential openings for the Spring 2027 Co-op/Internship Session (January-April/May). This is a general job description and represents multiple openings in various departments. Honda offers both single and multi-semester co-ops and internships. College students must apply to the requisition pertaining to their major and semester of interest. Sponsorship for employment visa status for these positions is unavailable. The descriptions below reflect potential environments and duties within our various Information Technology and Data Analytics Co-op/Intern positions that we offer. Work environments and projects may include but are not limited to: Project & IT Services Support Support project planning and execution by assisting with schedules, scopes, milestone tracking, and budget monitoring Participate in weekly project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders Interface with business partners to identify reporting, data, and system requirements (“musts” and “wants”) Assist in the design, creation, and distribution of standardized reporting and documentation Support the development of operational standards, procedures, and training materials for project implementation Ensure reporting and documentation align with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements Manufacturing & Production Analytics Collaborate with manufacturing departments and production control teams to develop reports supporting departmental and plant‑level initiatives Work with production leadership and management to understand data needs for project rollouts and operational decisions Create and maintain production associate reporting tools and documentation within ISO frameworks Support implementation of manufacturing projects through data analysis, reporting, and training support Data Analysis, Data Science & Simulation Collect, organize, and analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, correlations, and improvement opportunities Develop and implement algorithms for data analysis, machine learning, and simulation Conduct computational modeling and simulations to predict material, part, or system behavior and performance Provide data‑driven insights to design, testing, and new model development teams Evaluate current business and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation or coding‑based solutions Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate analytical and modeling results into product development and operational decision‑making Reporting & Communication Summarize analytical findings in clear, concise reports and dashboards Present results and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership Translate technical and analytical findings into actionable business insights

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • General Business Coursework
  • Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (You will be required to provide your current transcript)
  • Class status- Sophomore (by credit hour) or above
  • Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Ability to secure own transportation to and from work each day
  • Public transportation and ride share services are limited in some of our locations. Co-ops are responsible for securing their own transportation to and from work each day and must have a reliable plan for transportation in order to be eligible for a position. Regular in-person attendance is required, and transportation issues will not be excused.
