About The Position

The IT Cybersecurity Administrator Level I runs security-related operations within their department. They take responsibility for cybersecurity under the supervision of the IT WIS (Workplace, Infrastructure and Security) Director. They will be responsible for dealing with operational security issues by executing the operational side of threat detection and cyber defense, ensuring that Sunland’s data, financial assets, and customer information stays safe.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • At least two (2) years of overall IT experience.
  • Basic familiarity of various security-related areas such as security systems, firewalls, data protection controls, patching, encryption, vulnerability scanning, pen testing, et al.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud environment.
  • Assisting in the preparation of materials for senior management meetings and providing technical context as needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Logical reasoning and adaptability.
  • Capable of analyzing security issues and developing effective, outside-the-box solutions.
  • Provides timely and professional support to all internal/external customers and vendors.
  • Strong business focus with demonstrated ability to act in partnership with management teams.
  • Leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence team members.
  • Team-oriented and consults with team members and management as needed to complete assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality.
  • Understands and is familiar with the most widely known technologies for cybersecurity.
  • Strong Fluency of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understands and is familiar with the most widely known and emerging tools, technologies and social applications

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring systems for security gaps, designing effective solutions for these gaps, and providing reports to IT-WIS Director.
  • Facilitate wide-ranging policies, regulations, and strategies to enhance the security of Sunland.
  • Evaluate new security tools and technologies and implement them when necessary.
  • Collaborate with IT WIS staff on all aspects of cybersecurity.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to translate customer needs and security into operations solutions.
  • Work directly with the IT WIS staff to develop and deliver cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Running risk assessments, site audits, and penetration testing.
  • Conducting vulnerability tests and identifying and addressing any weaknesses.
  • Develop, plan, and implement cybersecurity education and awareness training through a variety of methods to both technical and non-technical team members.
