Requirements

Basic understanding of the organization’s core business processes and operations
General awareness of the organization’s goals and objectives
Experience in analyzing, eliciting, modeling, verifying, and developing business and technical requirements
Ability to write consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly terms
Proficiency with UML, SysML, or other business analysis modeling tools and languages
Moderate analytical and statistical skills for addressing systems issues and product evaluation
Familiarity with project management principles, including planning, organizing, and resource management
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Self-motivated and directed
Strong customer service orientation
Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
General technical knowledge, which may include knowledge of systems, servers, databases, networks, telecommunications, hardware, and software.
Understanding of the organization's core software applications.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an IT-related subject.
CCBA/CBAP certification.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project sponsors to define project scope and vision.
Identify project stakeholders, establish roles and user classes, and document their characteristics.
Gather user requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, and scenarios.
Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize requirements.
Evaluate software and hardware products for alignment with business needs.
Implement and use PMO-prescribed requirements documentation software.
Ensure solutions are compatible with business requirements.
Analyze and verify requirements for applicability, consistency, feasibility, and completeness.
Write requirements specifications using standard templates.
Translate conceptual user requirements into detailed functional requirements.
Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for the project team and developers.
Conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure accurate interpretation.
Interpret user requirements, propose feasible options, and communicate them to business stakeholders.
Track requirements throughout the project lifecycle, updating as needed.
Communicate changes and updates to requirements to project managers, sponsors, and stakeholders verbally and in writing.
