About The Position

Long Beach Transit (LBT) is seeking an IT Application Coordinator specializing in ERP/EAM systems. This role is responsible for overseeing the implementation, administration, support, and optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and enterprise asset management (EAM) systems. The goal is to ensure the successful achievement of project goals and objectives within the designated time frame and budget constraints, under the guidance of the Executive Director and Vice President for Information Technology. This role involves performing duties personally or through collaboration with others, focusing on the company's vision of customer-centricity, integrity, continuous improvement, proactivity, and employee development.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, security principles, and best practices to support system scalability, reliability, and data management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluating, and solving problems of a difficult procedural or technical nature.
  • Aptitude for creativity, innovation, and learning new technology.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to handle a wide range of IT responsibilities, including user support functions.
  • Advanced skills with project management tools, including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and effectively handle shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, business management, or a related field is required.
  • Five years of overall IT experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in cloud technology, including cloud-based ERP and EAM solutions, SaaS applications, and cloud integrations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary administrator for ERP and EAM applications, ensuring system availability, performance, and security.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions while ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working with vendors and internal IT teams as needed.
  • Maintain system configurations, workflows, and integrations to align with business processes.
  • Lead or assist in system upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and recommend system improvements or automation opportunities.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for upgrades and new functionalities.
  • Ensure proper documentation of system configurations, customizations, and workflows.
  • Work closely with software vendors for system support, licensing, and enhancements.
  • Partner with IT and business leaders to align ERP and EAM strategies with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal users on project scope and planning schedules that impact their areas of responsibility.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects that require ERP and EAM expertise.
  • Other duties as assigned.
