The position of Information Technology Analyst IV is the fourth classification level in the job series, requiring advanced specialized and technical analytical skills. Incumbents serve as team leaders or project managers for major systems, performing the most difficult and responsible duties, including advanced technical support. They provide lead direction to other IT Analysts and consultants on system design, infrastructure, and maintenance projects. This role differs from the Principal Information Technology Analyst, who manages a major section or initiative with greater independence and resource responsibility.
