The State of Connecticut, Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) is seeking a dynamic, highly experienced professional for the position of Information Technology Analyst 3 to work in Core-CT's Financial Development Team. The Core-CT Division is responsible for the State of Connecticut's PeopleSoft-based Enterprise Resource Planning system. The individual selected for this role will perform the most complex technical support, systems analysis, and development functions, driving system stability and technological modernization to lower operational costs and champion strict fiscal oversight statewide. In the Core-Ct division, the Information Technology Analyst will be responsible for a variety of advanced technical duties, including, but not limited to: Serving as a technical lead for a team of IT analysts supporting PeopleSoft applications, modules, and integrations. Providing application development support and system programming standards for complex PeopleSoft configurations, upgrades, and patches. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning batch processing and performance metrics, including database settings like temporary table allocations and concurrency parameters. Designing, writing, and reviewing complex SQL scripts, SQR programs, Application Engine processes, and integration interfaces to support data exchange. Diagnosing system bottlenecks or host environment problems and coordinating resolutions across database administration, server infrastructure, and functional teams. Leading medium-to-large system integration projects through the entire System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Training technical staff, operators, and agency end-users on new software procedures, customizations, and operational tools. Acting as a technical liaison with operating units, state agencies, and external hardware/software vendors.
