About The Position

This position is within the Office of Infrastructure Management and is responsible for operating and performing customer support for remote and in-person employees. The role involves troubleshooting software issues, performing investigative work, and testing solutions with employees. Additionally, the Information Technologist 2 will coordinate with the Service Desk team on deployment projects such as laptop and iPad deployments, workstation moves, and monitor replacements. The position also includes building Knowledge Base documentation and training other team members.

Requirements

  • 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: computers and/or telecommunications software/hardware, applications, support products, projects or databases for small scale systems or programs or pieces of larger systems or programs including 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 12 mos. combined work experience as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Operates and performs Customer Support both over the phone with remote employees and in person.
  • Troubleshoots Software issues with district and central office employees.
  • Performing investigative work into their issues, and testing solutions with them.
  • Coordinates with the Service Desk team to work on deployment projects; Things such as: Laptop deployments, iPad Deployments, moving of employee workstations, Monitor replacements
  • Builds Knowledge Base documentation and uses it to help train other team members
