Join our team and see what it means to be people helping people. Fibre Federal Credit Union is seeking an Information Systems Support Specialist for our Longview, WA location. This role involves performing daily IS Operations, providing support for desktop equipment and peripherals, administering client hardware/software across all service centers, proactively managing supplies, and addressing Helpdesk requests. The specialist will also be responsible for writing and maintaining procedures, completing daily Item Processing functions, and researching IT solutions and efficiencies. The position requires prompt and courteous IT support, travel to various locations, and participation in department meetings and training.

Requirements

  • Have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel to/from any service center or location, as the position requires.

  • Prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and develop realistic action plans.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality.
  • Be consistently at work and on time (except for those cases protected by law, which are outlined in the Employee Guide), follow instructions, respond to Management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance.
  • Set an example in observing (following) Credit Union policy and applicable Standard Operating Procedures, as well as those in the Employee Guide.
  • Be able to think logically, solve problems, work independently, be capable of following detailed technical instructions, and be willing and able to continuously learn.
  • Possess high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Within one year in the role, the individual is expected to develop the knowledge and experience necessary to pass an entry-level IT certification, such as CompTIA A+.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Successfully complete a background check, credit check, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily IS Operations.
  • Provide support desktop equipment and peripherals.
  • Administer client hardware/software at all service centers and locations.
  • Proactively replace/order supplies.
  • Answer and address Helpdesk phone calls and ticket queue requests.
  • Write and maintain procedures for Operations and other functional areas.
  • Complete daily Item Processing functions.
  • Explore and research IT solutions and efficiencies.
  • Provide prompt and courteous IT support to credit union staff, and ongoing monitoring of incoming Helpdesk calls and tickets.
  • Travel to services centers or other locations, as required to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Support the building, installation, testing, and maintenance of new and existing desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and programs.
  • Document daily tasks in appropriate tracking system(s).
  • Perform preventative maintenance for desktop hardware, printers, and other equipment, as required.
  • Assist staff with the navigation, use, and configuration of software applications, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Escalate problems and other issues to appropriate staff or vendors, when necessary.
  • Daily processing of image cash letters, over-the-counter imaged transit items, and other Item Processing tasks, as documented in procedures and as required.
  • Utilize MIPS system to process Federal Reserve in clearing files; create share draft posting file and host image file; process imaged transit work and redeemed savings bonds; creation and transmission of cash letters, on-us share draft posting file; processing of share draft returns.
  • Maintain records and archival procedures to adhere to retention and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure computer systems are ready before the beginning of business day; monitor and interact with the automated batch processing system(s); and complete daily operations schedule check list when assigned to Operations.
  • Identify software and/or hardware malfunctions and implement corrective action(s), as necessary.
  • Attend and contribute in scheduled department meetings, calls, and video conferences.
  • Participate in appropriate training opportunities, when requested and approved by supervisor(s).
  • Accurately log time worked in designated time-tracking system.
  • Other duties as assigned
