Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) – RMF & Compliance
About The Position
COLSA Corporation is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to serve as the ISSO for assigned systems. The role supports system monitoring and analysis to detect cyber incidents and recommends corrective actions. Work includes maintaining authorization packages, managing accounts, conducting security audits, and reporting on configuration management. The position is contingent upon receipt of task order funding. The ISSO performs monitoring and evaluation of systems as directed by senior ISSOs, supports security compliance activities in a closed, secure environment, and collaborates with technical personnel and nontechnical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Perform monitoring and evaluation of systems as directed by senior ISSOs.
- Monitor and analyze systems to detect cyber incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain authorization packages.
- Perform account management, security auditing, and configuration management reporting.
- Populate and review Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) to ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Review, analyze, and troubleshoot Security Center and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan results.
- Use scan findings to develop and update Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Maintain and update security compliance documentation within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
- Perform security compliance activities within a closed, secure environment.
- Collaborate with technical personnel and nontechnical stakeholders.
