Altus Consulting Seeks an Information Systems Security Officer to Champion Cybersecurity. Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in security assessments.
• At least 2 years of experience in documentation.
• At least 2 years of experience advising system administrators.
• In-depth knowledge of networking.
• In-depth knowledge of system hardening.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows/Linux environments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with security frameworks, methodologies, tools, and technologies.
• A relevant cybersecurity certification (Security+, SSCP, CGRC, CISM, CISSP, etc.) is preferred, but the company will support obtaining the required certification within three months of joining.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring client systems meet rigorous security and compliance standards.
• Identifying vulnerabilities.
• Contributing to a strong cybersecurity posture.
• Performing assessments using industry-standard frameworks (like NIST RMF and ICD 503) and advanced tools (Nessus, Rapid7).
• Analyzing system packages.
• Contributing to in-depth technical reviews of products for the customer base.
• Working with the cybersecurity incident response team to tackle security breaches.
