As Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), you will provide cybersecurity support to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Springfield, VA. This role requires an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance. The position involves acquiring and managing resources for IT security goals, developing an enterprise continuity of operations program, collecting and reporting cybersecurity data, communicating IT security value, collaborating on continuity strategies, ensuring security improvement actions are implemented, coordinating cybersecurity inspections, integrating cybersecurity requirements into continuity planning, ensuring protection and detection capabilities align with architecture, establishing enterprise information security architecture, evaluating development efforts for security safeguards, performing cost/benefit and risk analysis, identifying alternative security strategies, assessing IT security implications of new technologies, interfacing with external organizations for incident dissemination, interpreting security requirements for new technologies, analyzing noncompliance patterns, monitoring the effectiveness of cybersecurity safeguards, and participating in risk assessments during the Security Assessment and Authorization process. Additionally, you will prepare and maintain security plans and procedures, and apply techniques for detecting intrusions and identifying critical infrastructure systems designed without security considerations.
