As a Project Task Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). You will support the design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to employ specified NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces (DF) portions of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • 8570 IAM Level I Certification
  • ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification
  • Secret security clearance
  • US citizenship required
  • Proven ability to provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership across complex IT projects
  • Proficiency in contract/subcontractor management
  • Strong planning and documentation skills (project plans, proposals, reports)
  • Demonstrated capability to perform gap analysis and manage staging, installation, and testing activities
  • Excellence in client communications and cross‑agency/vendor coordination

Responsibilities

  • Lead/Manage/Support our customer’s mission by providing technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned projects or tasks; including contract and subcontractor oversight.
  • Participate in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task‑order and administrative reporting to drive clarity and progress.
  • Document gap analysis, staging, installation, and testing within established schedule, operational, and costing parameters to ensure capabilities are fielded effectively.
  • Conduct planning and provide recommendations to the client on task workload; assist the Government in synchronizing requirements across the project lifecycle within cost, schedule, and performance, identifying issues in project meetings.
  • Attend customer meetings and serve as primary client liaison as needed; interact with vendors, other agencies, and client staff on behalf of the customer to remove roadblocks and accelerate delivery.
  • Coordinate development of deliverables and products; ensure quality assurance of project deliverables and manage day‑to‑day operations of the capability to standard.
  • Assist in validating spend plans and quantifying equipment and associated costs; coordinate, execute, and track shipments to meet fielding timelines.
  • Create documentation, briefings, and project plans necessary to support NETCOM; provide coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensure all reviews and approvals are received.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned; participate in special projects as required to advance mission outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members, the customer and vendors to apply architecture to Army Enterprise programs at various lifecycle stages.
  • Drive innovation by identifying where emerging tools increase resiliency, reduce latency, or enhance secure communications; promoting cloud, automation, and AI adjacent efficiencies wherever possible; using root cause analysis to uncover systemic issues that could benefit from new processes or tools; conducting risk review sessions that push creative problem solving; implementing continuous improvement cycles during staging, installation, testing, and fielding; creating shared collaboration channels to accelerate cross agency coordination.
  • Utilize project & task management tools such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams for meeting coordination, chat collaboration and MS Outlook for Task order communication and coordination.
