About The Position

Valeo is a global tech company focused on reinventing mobility through innovative solutions. We are seeking an autonomous and forward-thinking Information Systems Intern to contribute to our internal knowledge of Agentic AI. This role involves designing and deploying a secure 'Laboratory Environment' from scratch at our Troy, MI facility, under the guidance of senior Valeo IS team members. The intern will explore the integration of autonomous AI agents into modern Information Systems and enhance the team's AI literacy. This position is for a current student available to start as soon as possible, with flexible part-time or full-time hours depending on class schedules. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Currently a student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field with a heavy academic focus or strong personal orientation toward Artificial Intelligence.
• Solid foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., access controls, secure configurations, data privacy, or container security concepts).
• Strong hands-on familiarity with Linux (specifically Ubuntu).
• Practical experience with container engines such as Podman or Docker.
• Foundational knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and a strong interest or academic exposure to Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar).
• A highly autonomous work ethic, strong curiosity, and the communication skills necessary to translate complex AI concepts to team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, setup, and maintain a local sandbox/laboratory environment for testing LLMs and Agentic AI frameworks, ensuring basic IT security best practices.
• Research and prototype how autonomous AI agents can automate, optimize, or support Valeo’s internal information systems and workflows.
• Manage the infrastructure of the lab environment using Linux environments and containerized applications.
• Document findings, create proof-of-concepts, and showcase prototypes to the Valeo IS team to develop collective AI knowledge.
