About The Position

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking an accomplished faculty member and leader for the Information Systems Department at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong research vision at the intersection of artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and healthcare systems. Requirements

A Ph.D. and an internationally recognized research program in information systems that integrates artificial intelligence and advanced analytics within healthcare systems.
A record of publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals appropriate to the candidate’s career stage.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with faculty, staff and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to doing so as a faculty member at VCU.

Responsibilities

Maintain an internationally recognized research program.
Produce impactful scholarship.
Secure external funding.
Provide intellectual leadership in transdisciplinary research involving artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and healthcare systems and markets.
Shape the School’s strategic research agenda.
Develop cross-campus initiatives.
Expand research partnerships.
Build collaborations across the School of Business, VCU Health, and other university units.
Mentor junior faculty and doctoral students.
Teach information systems courses.
Contribute to curriculum development.
Provide academic and professional service.
Contribute substantially to the School’s national and international academic reputation through research, collaboration, and leadership.
