This role involves researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs. The engineer will analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Responsibilities include updating and enhancing existing software capabilities, designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between enterprise SaaS platforms used across Autodesk. This includes building automated workflows and services for seamless data exchange, system interoperability, and secure access management between tools like Airtable, Productboard, Jira, and other collaboration platforms. The engineer will leverage RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript to create scalable, secure, and maintainable integrations. Developing custom APIs and middleware services, transforming and normalizing data for cross-system compatibility, and creating system-level automation to reduce manual effort and error are key tasks. Security and compliance with corporate governance and privacy standards are essential. Collaboration with stakeholders from product, engineering, and security teams is required to identify business needs and design technical solutions. The engineer will develop alerting and remediation workflows, support platform migrations, and contribute to strategic tooling decisions, ultimately supporting productivity, collaboration, and operational excellence across Autodesk’s global organization. The position requires availability to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States, with telecommuting permitted.
