About The Position

The Information Security Systems Manager will perform a variety of Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) functions. This role supports multi-tier IA and CND functions including systems engineering, audit/inspection, infrastructure support, certification and accreditation, vulnerability management, and detection and response support services. The position provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program, including security certification test and evaluation of assets, vulnerability management and response, security assessments, and customer support. Responsibilities include proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies, and maintaining the operational security posture for an information system or program. The role involves evaluating security solutions, performing vulnerability/risk assessment analysis, and managing configuration for information system security software, hardware, and firmware. Additionally, the manager will assess the security impact of system changes and prepare/review documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). The position requires executing policies and guidance from senior leads, understanding basic grammar concepts for technical writing, and preparing/maintaining operations documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications. This includes gathering technical information, preparing written text, maintaining a documentation library, and utilizing tools like MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of experience be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience in addition to education level
• Must possess current DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II certification
• Experience working in a DoD or IC environment desired
• Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph

Responsibilities

• Provide security certification test and evaluation of assets, vulnerability management and response, security assessments, and customer support
• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
• Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
• Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation
• Provide configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
• Manage changes to system and assess the security impact of those changes
• Prepare and review documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)
• Execute policies and guidance provided by senior functional/technical leads
• Gather technical information, prepare written text, and maintain a current internal documentation library
• Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
