Information Security Systems Manager
About The Position
The Information Security Systems Manager will perform a variety of Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) functions. This role supports multi-tier IA and CND functions, including systems engineering, audit/inspection, infrastructure support, certification and accreditation, vulnerability management, and detection and response support services. The position involves providing support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program, including security certification test and evaluation of assets, vulnerability management and response, security assessments, and customer support. The role also includes proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies, and maintaining the operational security posture for an information system or program. Responsibilities extend to evaluating security solutions, performing vulnerability/risk assessment analysis, and providing configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware. The manager will also assess the security impact of system changes, prepare and review documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Additionally, the role requires executing policies and guidance from senior functional/technical leads and gathering technical information to prepare written text, maintain documentation libraries, and utilize various word processing and presentation tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of experience be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience in addition to education level
- Must possess current DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II certification
- Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph

Responsibilities

- Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program
- Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
- Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation
- Provide configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
- Manage changes to system and assess the security impact of those changes
- Prepare and review documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)
- Execute policies and guidance provided by senior functional/technical leads
- Gather technical information, prepare written text, and maintain a current internal documentation library
- Use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
