We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Information Security Engineer to join the Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will excel in a professional and team-oriented environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in information security engineering, security operations, or related technical security roles.
  • Strong IT background with hands-on experience in Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365 suite, networking, and infrastructure protocols.
  • Experience with system and network security, authentication, security protocols, cryptography, and cloud/application security, including proficiency with firewalls, SIEM, EDR/AV, switches, cryptographic tools, and related platforms.
  • Experience with identity and access management solutions, including Okta, Entra ID, SSO, MFA, conditional access, PAM, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative team player comfortable working in shared-responsibility environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as SSCP, Security+, CISA, or GIAC are preferred.
  • Prior law firm experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude, and the security considerations around their use strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, administer, and maintain assigned security technologies, including application control, EDR/AV, VPN, firewalls/SD-WAN, email security, attack simulation, threat intelligence, CASB, SASE, and AI-driven security platforms.
  • Perform and validate log and event analysis using SIEM, EDR, and log aggregation tools, escalating or remediating issues as required.
  • Proactively monitor and operate the vulnerability management program to address IT hygiene risks before they impact production.
  • Own security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, documentation, and remediation.
  • Investigate endpoint alerts, suspicious activity, malware events, phishing reports, and anomalous user or device behavior.
  • Drive initiatives for phishing simulation, security awareness campaigns, and user-reported suspicious email investigations.
  • Tune alerting rules, detection logic, and escalation procedures to reduce false positives and improve response quality.
  • Drive efforts to ensure AI usage is secure, and develop AI workflows as needed.
  • Analyze security needs and make recommendations in the design, integration, and deployment of security technologies.
  • Recommend solutions based on insights from threat detection platforms such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, IAM, EDR, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Review new and existing applications, vendor services, and business processes for security alignment.
  • Conduct regular IT security risk assessments and report on findings and remediation progress.
  • Coordinate technology compliance efforts with information security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing technical expertise and control documentation.
  • Administer and own identity and access management controls, including Active Directory, Okta, Entra ID, SSO, MFA, conditional access, privileged access management, and user lifecycle processes.
  • Review access patterns, investigate access-related security issues, and recommend improvements to authentication and authorization controls.
  • Partner with IT operations to strengthen account security, group management, privileged access, and access review processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners during security events to ensure effective resolution.
  • Partner with cross-functional IT teams to integrate security best practices.
  • Research emerging threats, attack techniques, and security technologies.
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen overall security posture.
