About The Position

Micron Technology is seeking an Information Security Engineer to own the end-to-end global rollout of modern, standards-based physical security infrastructure. The program covers video surveillance and analytics, access control, intrusion detection, visitor management, and perimeter protection across sites with systems of varying ages and maturity. The role partners with Global Security Operations leadership and treats security operators and site leaders as customers, gathering requirements and ensuring deployments meet operational needs. The position is responsible for building and running a multi-year, multi-site deployment plan; translating security technology standards into repeatable deployment processes; and applying product and agile practices to prioritize work, define outcomes, and improve rollout playbooks. It also involves developing or adopting AI-enabled tooling and automation for tracking, configuration checks, device health, asset and lifecycle management, and program activities such as assessments, reporting, risk identification, and documentation. The role coordinates integrators and contractors with internal IT, network, Information Security, Facilities, construction, and EHS teams; verifies compliance and deployment quality; manages risk, change, training, and cutover; and reports rollout metrics, spend, compliance, and system health to senior leadership. Domestic and international travel is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years in software product management or software engineering, including ownership of delivering a product or platform to users.
  • Experience leading cross-functional delivery with multiple teams and external partners, including managing scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Working knowledge of networked systems, APIs, and integrations.
  • Scripting or data analysis skills sufficient to build tooling, automate reporting, and hold technical conversations with engineers and integrators.
  • Hands-on use of generative AI tools, such as copilots, LLM-based assistants, or agents, in day-to-day work, with judgment about where AI output needs human review.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing executive-level status reports and presentations.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience rolling out technology across many sites or regions with global teams, such as IoT or edge-device fleets, enterprise infrastructure, or manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with device fleet management, configuration management, or monitoring and observability tools.
  • Experience applying AI/ML to anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, or automated workflows.
  • Experience with construction, facilities, or capital projects, including managing integrators or contractors through statements of work and acceptance testing.
  • Exposure to physical security systems such as video surveillance, access control, or intrusion detection, ideally in semiconductor, manufacturing, or other high-security industrial environments.
  • Agile certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe, or PMI-ACP.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global rollout program and build and run a multi-year, multi-site deployment plan for physical security infrastructure upgrades.
  • Sequence sites by risk and readiness; manage scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, and simultaneous projects across regions.
  • Translate technology standards and reference designs into deployment playbooks, site readiness checklists, and acceptance criteria in partnership with security engineering.
  • Gather requirements from security operators, site security leaders, and regional teams; prioritize a backlog, define completion criteria, iterate on deployment playbooks, and measure operational outcomes using agile practices.
  • Develop or adopt tools for deployment tracking, configuration standards checks, device health monitoring, and global asset and lifecycle management.
  • Use AI tools and agents to accelerate site assessments, status reporting, risk identification, and documentation, applying human review where appropriate.
  • Ensure deployed systems, including AI video analytics, integrate their data cleanly with the security operations data platform.
  • Manage external integrators and contractors through statements of work, schedules, and quality checks.
  • Coordinate with IT and network teams, Information Security on device hardening and network segmentation, Facilities and construction teams, particularly for new fab builds, and EHS.
  • Establish program governance, track site compliance with security technology standards, and conduct post-deployment audits to verify systems are installed, configured, and operating as designed.
  • Identify and raise program risks early, drive decisions to resolution, and plan operator training and cutover to support adoption.
  • Build metrics and dashboards covering rollout progress, spend, site compliance, and system health; present status, risks, and trade-offs to senior leadership.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision plan options
  • Income protection benefits in case of illness or injury
  • Paid family leave
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
