The Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Information Security Analyst. This position is responsible for continually adapting to stay a step ahead of cyber attackers. The analyst plans and carries out security measures to protect an organization's computer networks and systems. The responsibilities are continually expanding as the number of cyber-attacks increase. The analyst must stay up to date on the latest methods attackers are using to infiltrate computer systems and on IT security. The Analyst needs to research new security technology to decide what will most effectively protect their organization. This may involve attending cyber security conferences to hear first-hand accounts of other professionals who have experienced new types of attacks. This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the department's needs and continual meetings of expected performance measures. The state of Arizona strives for a work culture that affords employees flexibility, autonomy, and trust. Across our many agencies, boards, commissions, many State employees participate in the State's Remote Work Program and are able to work remotely in their homes, in offices, and in hoteling spaces. All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
