Information Security Analyst, Assistant Vice President
About The Position
Citi is looking for a Information Security Analyst (Info Security Tech Sr Analyst - C12) to join its global security operations function, playing a central role in protecting the firm's infrastructure, applications, and data against evolving cyber threats. In this position, you will be involved in incident troubleshooting efforts, drive technical risk assessments, and ensure security controls are embedded across systems and platforms. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact within a high-performing team operating on a global scale. Shift Schedule: Shift Hours: 10:30 AM 7:30 PM EST Shift Days: Sunday Thursday or Tuesday Saturday.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux and Windows operating systems, in an operational or system administration capacity.
- Working knowledge of network security components including load balancers, proxy servers, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS, as well as encryption protocols including PGP, TLS, and SSH.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with PKI technology, certificate lifecycle management, or data encryption systems.
- Experience using monitoring or automation tools such as Tivoli, Sensu, Autosys, or ServiceNow to support operational workflows.
- Familiarity with web servers (Apache, IIS, Sun One) or application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere), along with a working understanding of database platforms such as Oracle or SQL Server.
- Scripting capability in Shell, PowerShell, SQL, or an equivalent language, applied to security operations or system automation tasks.
- Broad understanding of security architectures, network protocols, and how they interact within enterprise-scale environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring all system alerts to maintain health of critical systems.
- Troubleshooting various issues with clients, assessing technical risk and coordinating timely resolution across affected systems.
- Assess the risk and operational impact of all change events and system issues, escalating to technology management promptly when required.
- Provide technical application support for security infrastructure and applications across production and UAT environments, ensuring stability, capacity, and performance are actively managed.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to validate that operational security requirements are met during application integrations and system changes.
- Maintain and improve scripts and automation tools used for system monitoring, process efficiency, and operational continuity.
